Steve is a product of the Mid-West, having grown up and resided in Illinois until his move to Washington, in 2016. While in Illinois, Steve attended the Northern Illinois University-College of Law and passed the Illinois Bar, in 2012. Upon gaining Illinois licensure, Steve worked as a sole practitioner performing general legal work. He also engaged in volunteer and pro bono work in conjunction with his tenure at an Illinois Legal Aid provider. It was within this program that Steve learned the fundamentals of Family Law undertaking all manner of casework from pre to post dissolution, pro se and motion practice coaching, adoptions, and guardianships. Since being granted an Admission-on-Motion to practice law in the State of Washington in 2018, Steve has continued to perform general legal work as an incorporated sole practitioner and expanded his practice areas to include entertainment law, and contract review. Steve enjoys working and interacting with people and strives to offer proactive and rigorous legal representation. As an associate at O’Brien, Barton, & Hopkins, Steve practices in the areas of Family Law and Criminal Defense.
