Lisa K. Barton

Lisa K. Barton has practiced in Issaquah since her admission to the Washington State Bar in 1994. She moved to Washington immediately after graduation from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law and has never regretted her decision to relocate from the Midwest to the Pacific Northwest.

Lisa concentrates her practice on family law, including divorce and separation, parenting plans, child support, parentage, and marriage-like relationships such as domestic partnerships and committed intimate relationships. After having litigated for over 20 years, she now focuses her practice on uncontested matters- those that will be resolved through mediation, collaboration, or other means of alternative dispute resolution.  She is a trained Collaborative attorney and encourages clients to consider engaging in the Collaborative process for their family law matters. She also acts as a mediator and/or arbitrator for family law disputes. When appointed by the court, Lisa serves as a guardian ad litem for children, parenting evaluator and parent coordinator in family law cases.

Lisa serves the legal community by volunteering as a Family Law CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate), acting as a volunteer settlement conference master for King County Superior Court, and consulting with clients through Eastside Legal Assistance Program (ELAP).

In her free time, Lisa enjoys reading, fitness, traveling and spending time with her family.
